Active Holidays in the Val Pusteria

Calling all nature lovers!

No matter what time of year you visit us, there is always something to experience.

The Rainerhof is your base camp for hiking and biking tours in summer and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing tours in winter. But Villabassa itself also offers unique leisure activities for both young and old. Let’s go!

Direct start

Diverse park area

The spa park in Villabassa extends over five hectares and is only a few minutes’ walk from our farm. The park has shady, calm areas to relax in – including the sound of the river. Small and bigger children will have the time of their lives in the huge playground. The Kneipp facility is unique in Italy. Immerse yourself in the world of Kneipp and treat yourself to a refreshing break. Feel like some fun challenges? You’ll find them at the 12 stations in the motor skills park.

Family-friendly walking trail

As soon as you leave the farm, you will find that there are plenty of walking opportunities for the whole family. Our personal recommendation is a pram path that leads through the entire village. Along the local river, the Rienz, and past a species-rich mini-zoo. Fun for all the family.

Being outside makes you hungry

If you don’t feel like cooking yourself in the evening, there are different kinds of restaurants around the farm. From traditional South Tyrolean to Mediterranean to the classic pizzeria, everything is on offer. Your hosts will be happy to give you a tasty tip! Buon appetito!

Exploring on foot

The Alta Pusteria is full of versatile hiking routes and walking trails – there is something for every age and every level of difficulty. Many of them start right from the farm, so you can give your car a holiday too. Your constant companion on all tours: breathtaking views! Whether lush, green hilly landscapes or rugged mountain peaks, the Dolomites always show themselves from their best side.

Especially popular: the expertly guided natural history hikes in the surrounding nature parks.

On tour by bike

The surroundings can of course not only be explored on foot, but also by bike. Grab your bike and start your tour directly from the farm. There is a suitable route for every level of difficulty. Whether the routes of the famous Dolomiti Superbike or leisurely, flatter cycling routes and lots of views. In short: There is something for everyone here, from children to professional athletes.

Our tip: the Val Pusteria cycle path. It leisurely takes you from village to village, past rushing streams and all kinds of experiences. If you don’t have a bike with you, you can rent one at the nearby bike rental.
